Subject: Application requesting a visitor visa for myself & my family after refusal
Respected Visa Official
I hereby introduce myself as Raj Khanna (Passport No.- Y78465651), an Indian national living in Gurugram, Haryana. For the impending summer vacations, I have decided to visit my brother Mr. Rahul Khanna’s family (mention permanent citizens or kind of visa on which they are living in the country) in the UK along with my wife Mrs. Pooja Kapadia (Passport No.- X36058198) and children Tej Khanna (Passport No.- R654321) and Kimaya Khanna (Passport No.- U23476893). We have finalized a 20-day tour in the month of June. I am writing this application to request that you grant us a multiple-entry visitor visa that allows us to visit our family in the UK. Unfortunately, our initial request for a visitor visa was rejected on 20 March 2024 for the reasons that I have tried to justify in this application.
Purpose Of Our Visit
My childhood has been the most cherished part of my life because of the close and fun-loving relationship that I shared with my siblings. I was particularly close to my brother Rahul Khanna, who is like a dear friend with whom I can share all of life’s ups and downs. As we grew, Rahul established himself abroad, but despite the physical distance, we remained in touch and extended our emotional support to one another as we both experienced adulthood, marriage, and the birth of our dear kids. In one of our recent conversations, I expressed to Rahul how I have been longing to meet him for quite some time, and without a second thought, he invited my family to visit them in the UK for a few days. When I broke this news to my wife and children, they were overjoyed at the idea of an international family vacation where we would meet our loved ones.
Travel Details
We have finalized our travel dates, keeping in mind the academic commitments of our children, as my nieces will have their school vacation in the month of June. We will be departing for the UK on 10 June 2024 and returning to India on 29 June 2024. In this 20-day period, our priority will be to spend time together as a family, share our childhood stories with our children, and introduce them to some of our traditional delicacies. To make the most of our UK vacation, I plan to visit York and Bath for 2-3 days each. Additionally, we will visit popular tourist places like the Tower of London, Manchester Art Gallery, and the British Museum, as these places will surely fascinate the children. We are excited to explore parts of Central London like the markets, landscapes, castles, beaches, etc. For the entire duration of our temporary stay in the UK, my family will be accommodated at my brother’s residence at 17th Yesland Street, Manchester, UK TN76WE.
Arrangement of Funds
All expenses of our family trip to the UK will be covered by my wife and me. The net worth certificate that I have attached along with this application will prove that my wife and I have bank savings worth approximately INR 30,44,458. While my family owns properties that are worth INR 54,00,00,000, we own other assets worth INR 69,79,000. I shall highlight that my wife, Pooja, and I have joint savings of INR 10,00,000. As per our estimations, we will be required to spend approximately INR 5,00,000 on our UK vacation and are more than capable of covering the expected and unexpected costs.
We will be staying at our brother’s residence for all 20 days of our holiday at the address mentioned above. This residential property is owned by my brother and sister-in-law. Currently, they both have savings of GBP 10,160.45 and GBP 6,156.78, respectively. They are working professionals, where my brother is a CEO at Navada Pvt. Limited, and my sister-in-law is a Senior Manager at Corpora Ltd. They have a combined annual income of GBP 45,000.
Addressing The Refusal Concern Regarding Our Finances
I would like to confirm with you that we are an affluent family that belongs to a standard society in India. I am a self-employed businessman who owns a firm called Manik Chand Enterprises. Simultaneously, I also look after my father’s business, Kohinoor Hosiery, and manage the everyday operations of both businesses. Similarly, my wife, Pooja, is employed as a Senior Branch Manager at Yasir Enterprises and also runs a small-scale wholesale business where she buys goods from the market and sells them at a decent price through platforms like WhatsApp and other social media accounts. I understand that there have been some financial concerns regarding the income and expenses that have been shown in our accounts. I want to clarify here that, other than the income that Satnam receives as a senior accountant, INR 30000 in (account number) account, she additionally makes INR 3,54,720 approximately from her online wholesale business, the income from which is transferred to (account number. Kindly note here that my wife files ITR for both the accounts separately and makes a combined payment of INR 6,00,000 approximately. A majority of our personal payments and expenses are covered from (account number); the account in which my wife receives payments from her wholesale business.
My father’s and my business is quite expanded and requires direct dealings with the customers. The online payments that our customers make are transferred to three bank accounts, which are in the name of my wife and me. In my previous application, I showed the details/statements of only 2 accounts, but I have rectified this error with my new application. The new account will clarify our outgoing payments of INR 50,000 as evidence of our personal and professional expenses. According to our calculations, we have monthly family expenses of INR 60,000. However, since we live in a joint family where several significant/insignificant expenses are covered by my parents as well, I can say that our mixed expenditures are often paid by them also. Moreover, we have traveled to countries like the USA, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, and others for the purpose of tourism. I hope that our travel history will help establish our affluence as we are capable of covering all our basic as well as luxurious expenditures.
Kindly find attached all the financial documents of my brother, sister-in-law, wife, and me. It includes our bank statements, net worth certificates, savings, etc.
Incentives To Return To India
It is of utmost importance to our family that we return to our home country, India, right after concluding our vacation on 29 June 2024. We are a large, close-knit family that is strongly dependent on one another for various aspects of our lives. First, my parents are senior citizens who are closely attached to their grandchildren. Despite being self-sufficient because of their financial prowess, they need extra love and care at this age, and for this, they look up to my family. I personally value this responsibility greatly and will return to ensure their overall well-being. Further, my elderly grandmother, Ms. Heema Khanna is also a precious part of our family, and I am one of her primary caregivers. My younger brother has yet to establish himself financially and expects my guidance every step of the way. My wife, Mrs. Pooja Kapadia, my parents, and my younger brother are also based in India. She shares a strong interpersonal relationship with them and is responsible for ensuring their overall welfare.
My wife and I have always envisioned raising our children in India so that they have a strong sense of their culture and identity. I want them to grow up in the loving presence of their grandparents and develop good values under them. Although my son is still a baby, my 8-year-old daughter is a student. Being responsible parents, her studies are important to us, and after we return to India, we will devote our time to preparing her for the new academic session.
As I conclude this explanation letter, I reiterate that our sole purpose of applying for a visit visa is to reunite with my brother’s family for a precise duration of 20 days. Both families are eagerly looking forward to this vacation as it will be a time to strengthen our family ties and mainly create memories that we will all remember for a lifetime. I have tried to justify the refusal reasons for our previous visa denial to the best of my ability, and I hope that you will acknowledge them. We are genuine applicants who have strong family ties and valuable assets, and professional duties in our home country, India. We have no intention whatsoever of abandoning them and want to visit the UK only for a holiday that has the utmost personal relevance to us. Therefore, I eagerly look forward to receiving a positive response and enjoying the unique opportunity to tour the UK with my loved ones! Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely
Raj Khanna
