They say hindsight is always a better thing. For me too. As I progressed with my undergraduate degree in Business Administration, I happened to eavesdrop on a conversation in the field of information. Their work experiences fascinated me. This intrigue led me to dig deeper into this field, and eventually, I stumbled upon the arena of Management Information Systems. The more I read about it, the better I realized that this field was an amalgamation of technology as well as business.

Growing up in a Business family, I have always seen myself treading on this path in the future, and here on this path, I saw a perfect opportunity to blend my interest in business and Information Technology and work on something fruitful. Soon enough, I changed my Major to Cybersecurity. The end of this tenure saw my work as an intern as a Security Analyst in an IT firm, where I learned how to analyze data and present it in MS Excel. I also gained an idea about analyzing data in real life and presenting it in business settings. My curriculum on Digital Forensics proved beneficial when working in this domain. This phase allowed me to garner interest as well as the confidence to forge ahead with my path in Information Systems. My classes on network defense tools served as the final straw in decision-making. Here, along with delving into notions of utilizing Zorin command-line interfaces, I learned to describe how cloud enablement technologies work and also deployed cloud resources, utilized NaaS and CaaS systems to solve business problems, used common Cloud automation and security technologies to implement and manage Cloud infrastructure in Digital Ocean.

I realized that the capacity to collaborate in a cloud environment enables the organization to interact and exchange information more conveniently than it could through conventional channels. We could utilize cloud computing to provide staff, contractors, and third parties access to the same data if we are working on a project in several places. It is simply possible to store and manage data and other applications via the internet as opposed to utilizing a computer’s hard drive using cloud computing or cloud storage technologies. Our data is backed up by cloud storage services using sophisticated methods so that it may be restored if there is a problem. Now, as I realize this, I understand the need for this field more than ever before. My passion, as well as my experience of learning through practical applications, make me a perfect fit to pursue this curriculum.
