Subject: Application requesting a visitor visa for the Netherlands after refusal

 Respected Sir/Madam

I, hereby take the opportunity to introduce myself as Asad Taukeer (Passport No.- HGR2685735), a Pakistan national who is a long-term resident of the United Arab Emirates and currently living in Dubai. As an investor banker by profession, I am a family man who lives with my dear wife Marian Noor Begum, and son Ali Muhammad. For quite some time, I have been contemplating a family holiday to Europe with the Netherlands being the most preferred destination. Therefore, I am writing this application with the intention to request the visa authorities of the Netherlands to kindly grant me a visitor visa. I must inform you that I had applied for a similar visa previously as well but unfortunately, it was denied on 2 June 2024. Earlier, I had finalized the travel dates from 21 July 2024 to 28 July 2024. Now, I will be finalizing the new travel dates after my visa has been approved. My initial visa was rejected on the following grounds-

  • Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not provided.
  • There are reasonable doubts as to your intention to leave the territory of the member states before the expiry of the visa.
  • You have not provided proof of sufficient means of subsistence, for the duration of the intended stay or for the return to the country of origin or residence, or for the transit to a third country into which you are certain to be admitted.

Purpose of Visit

In the year 2009, I began my professional journey and since then, I have swiftly progressed in my designation from a Market Research Executive to finance advisor, business development executive, and finally a Business analyst. In this more than a decade-long professional life, I have never taken a proper holiday in which I would have been able to explore a new country or learn something new about our world and its various cultures. Presently, when I believe myself to be financially secure and personally settled in life, I have decided to take a holiday along with my small and young family. While I have always been fascinated by the magnificence and diversity of European countries, I did not take much time to finalize the Netherlands as our tourist destination as the country exceptionally stood out in terms of its natural divinity, a unique mix of ancient and modern infrastructure, the natural and artificial colors of the landscapes, adventure activities for adults as well as children, sightseeing options and wonderful tourist attractions. The country’s aura as well as its socio-cultural environment greatly appeals to my interest and will surely be the right place for me and my family to rejuvenate and relax ourselves; all while indulging in fun tourist activities.

Travel Details and Activity Plan

Before our initial visa refusal, we had finalized our travel dates from 21 July 2024 to 28 July 2024. Since this time period has passed, we will now be taking our holiday in the month of September. The particular details will be decided once our visa has been approved. Although, the duration of our visit will still be one week only. My wife and I are excited to visit popular attractions like the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House, the fancy Rijksmuseum, Cathedrals, the Royal Palace, etc. I am certain that places like the ARTIS zoo and Efteling: World of Wonders theme park will surely be the best places for my son to enjoy. Although just for a few days, my wife and I are eager to take a break from the monotonousness of our everyday lives and take this time to value each other’s presence, talk to our heart’s content while roaming beside beautiful canals, and make memories worth a lifetime. For the convenience of my family and son in particular, I will be renting a car to cover several areas of the city. For the entire duration of the trip, we will be accommodating at the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam.

Financial Arrangement

All expenses pertaining to my and my family’s holiday in the Netherlands will be covered by me. In my current position as a Business Analyst with Dubai Islamic Bank, I make a monthly income of 8,000 AED. Besides my fixed salary, a major chunk of my income comes from the commissions that I get each month. It may range from 5,000 AED to 15,000 AED. Additionally, my company offers me certain incentives such as 2,000 AED. The bank statements that I have provided will show that I have 25,000 AED with me as savings in my bank account. I have attached two credit card statements as well that have credit limits of 80,000 AED and 40,000 AED respectively. My wife and I own a house in our home country Pakistan whose monetary value can be estimated at 3, 95,000 AED. I also have a Nissan Altima in my possession in UAE whose approximate worth is 60,000 AED. I assure you that we are a financially stable family that has always enjoyed a comfortable lifestyle. In almost 15 years of my professional life, I have ample savings and resources that allow me to take a family trip to the Netherlands.

Reasons To Return To The UAE

The prime motivation that encourages me to return to the UAE is the professional life that I have built for myself in this country. I work with a reputed company on a designation that values my contribution and work skills. Since I came to the UAE in 2015, I have put in strenuous efforts to construct a lucrative career. I have put in sweat and blood to make a place for myself in this country and am proud of the achievements that I have made. Per my understanding, the UAE is the best place to live for me and my family as we resonate with the social and cultural values of this country. Over the years, my wife has developed a social circle for herself, and our kid is set to receive a quality education here as he grows. Our short vacation in the Netherlands is a tourist adventure that we wish to enjoy as a family and will then be eager to return to our life in UAE. In UAE, we live in a rented house, have health insurance, and live a standard life. While we are excited about our vacation in the Netherlands, we are determined to return to our life in the UAE after our vacation.

A majority of our extended family and relatives live in Pakistan. While living in the UAE, it is easier for us and them to travel or meet on family holidays. Since the country is closer in distance to Pakistan, it is favorable for us to continue our lives here.

I, thus conclude my application by reiterating that the sole purpose of our family trip to the Netherlands is tourism. A vacation of such kind is nothing short of a dream for us. I am confident that we will cherish the memories of this vacation for a long time and thus humbly request you grant us a visitor visa. I am hopeful that I have justified all the reasons given for our previous visa refusal. Finally, I thank you with all my heart for your time and consideration of this application.

I have attached my itinerary for this trip along with this application for your reference.

 Sincerely

Asad Taukeer
