Sub. Application requesting a visitor visa for Canada
Dear Sir/Madam
I, hereby introduce myself as Sonal Kapoor (Passport No.-), an Indian citizen living in Punjab. I am writing this application to support my visitor visa request to Canada. The purpose of my trip is to visit my husband Mr. Yash Kapoor who is in Canada on a student visa. He is studying a three-year Information Analytics course. I wish to spend a few days with him in the country as we have our anniversary coming up. It will be an opportunity to strengthen our bond as well as provide emotional and mental support to each other as we have been in a long-distance relationship for quite some time now. I have decided that I will be visiting Canada for 10 days, from 1st November to 10th November 2025. Through this application, I have tried to explain my motivation to go on this holiday and be in the company of my husband. I would like to bring to your attention that I received a visa refusal for a spouse’s open work permit on 4th January 2025, and have now changed the purpose of my visit. The reasons for my previous refusal were:
- I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay.
- The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
- The compensation offered in your job offer and your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself.
- After a change of plans, I have decided to apply for a visitor visa so that I can temporarily live with my husband for a few days.
My husband and I have been married for 3 years. We are a young couple who work/study with all our might so that we can create a comfortable life for ourselves and our families. While I am progressing steadily in my profession, my husband decided that he must pursue his studies further as it will help him upgrade his work skills and find better professional opportunities. With this thought, he went to Canada in November 2024. In the time that we spent together, we formed a close bond and became each other’s confidant. To add to the nature of our relationship, we now rely on each other for emotional and mental support and stay in touch through calls and messages. However, in the recent period, it has been quite challenging. In such a situation, I greatly missed the companionship of my life partner as he had always held my hands in tough circumstances. Realizing my condition, my husband invited me to live with him in Canada for a brief period. The mere thought of getting to spend some real time together filled me with excitement and a hope of happy times. With our anniversary coming up on 8th November 2025, we are sure to have a gala time together!
Keeping in mind the milestone of our anniversary, I have decided that I will be visiting Canada from 1st November to 10th November 2025. To make the most of our time as well as help relieve any stress that I recently faced, my husband has prepared an itinerary for our holiday. The details of this plan have been shared below in this statement letter. While some tourist activities like going to Niagara Falls, Prince Edward Island, Banff mountains, or roaming in and around Toronto are certainly a part of it; we will prioritize spending time together, updating each other about the minute details of our lives, and assuring comfort by keeping each other company. For the period of my stay in Canada, I will be accommodating my husband at his residence at St. Henry’s Residency, Upper East Valley, Ontario.
All expenses of my trip to Canada will be taken care of by myself. If the need arises, then my in-laws are also ready to support me financially. My mother-in-law, Mrs. Richa Kapoor, has a boutique and generates an annual income of INR 3,00,000. My father-in-law, Mr. Kishore Kapoor, who is involved in the field of catering, enjoys an annual income of INR 6,00,000.
Presently, I am an employee at the renowned company Ultratech Ltd. In my position as a relationship manager, I earn an annual remuneration of INR 8,00,000. I also run a small pastry shop as I am deeply interested in cooking. My investment in gold and mutual funds can be estimated at INR 10,00,000 and INR 20,00,000 respectively. In my bank account, fixed deposit, and provident funds, I have INR 2,00,00,000, INR 3,00,00,000, and INR 5,00,00,000. Additionally, the worth of movable and immovable properties owned by my family is INR 4,00,00,000 and INR 1,00,00,000. Both I and my husband come from well-off families and have always enjoyed a comfortable lifestyle. I can confirm that we are capable of affording my trip to Canada and will not rely on the country’s government for any sort of financial aid.
My motivation to come back to India relies on family responsibilities and professional obligations. I live in India along with my in-laws. Over time, I have built a close relationship with them and I take care of their everyday needs. In my husband’s absence, I have to look after them in their growing years so that they do not feel lonely. Moreover, my parents are based in India, and being especially close to them, I prefer to keep myself updated about their well-being or visit them frequently.
Further, I would not like my career to suffer because of my short excursion. My work role demands that I keep it updated before deadlines. I have taken a leave from my employment for 10 days and am set to join back on 11th November 2025. Other than my husband, I do not have any other family ties in Canada.
As I conclude my application, I would like to restate that this short trip to Canada has great personal relevance for me and my husband. We will be achieving the milestone of completing (__) years together and have elaborate plans to celebrate our anniversary. I am certain that after the conclusion of this trip, we will both be rejuvenated to return to our work/studies with appropriate zeal. Our fresh memories of each other will make our responsibilities easier for us. I genuinely hope that I have presented my case aptly and will be eagerly looking forward to a visa acceptance. Lastly, I would like to thank the visa officer for their consideration of my application wholeheartedly. Kindly find the attached itinerary below.
Sincerely
Sonal Kapoor
