Why NYU?
All my life, I have been on a constant lookout for opportunities that have enabled me to be the best version of myself. From being clueless about the direction I wanted to tread in life; to engaging in diverse experiences, I have been on a wonderful journey of self-exploration.
One experience that changed my life was the time I organized a virtual MUN conference. With an idea to blend public speaking with cinematic arts, I assembled a team of eight people to solidify my vision. This out-of-the-box idea, was, however, not very well received by the committee. Despite the criticism, we rolled out the carpet and were surprised to see more than 200 registrations for the event. I had then known that my negotiation skills, ability to take downfalls and solve problems had not gone to waste. This was the moment that made me realize my true calling. I now want to evolve into a well-rounded businesswoman, for which NYU is the perfect stepping stone.
Considering the pace at which the world of business is evolving, I feel the need to elevate my existing knowledge and skills. To be able to solidify my entrepreneurial dreams and contribute to innovation, I want to be equipped with a broader understanding of business, technology, and entrepreneurship, hence NYU. The four-year BTE program offered by Stern School of Business perfectly fits my interests and is aligned as per the emerging trends in the existing business landscape. This STEM-designated program will equip me with the requisite understanding of the fundamentals of business and enhance my technical skills. I am particularly excited to explore the NYC Entrepreneurship Lab, which will familiarize me with the elements of commencing a venture. As a part of the program, I will also have the chance to visit global leaders changing the face of the technological ecosystem, such as Twitter and Google.
The Stern School of Business is built on three core pillars of liberal arts, social impact, and business, ensuring all-encompassing learning. Being a part of this institution will make me a well-rounded professional, capable of creating innovative solutions to complex business problems. A center of business and innovation and a melting pot of cultures, this revered institution is perfect for me to evolve as an individual. I am eager to see what this experience has in store for me and am ardent to be a part of the diverse and vibrant student community.
