Subject: Application requesting a study visa for Germany

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am Rupal Patel from India bearing passport no XXXXXX and the purpose of writing this application is to support my German Student Visa Application. I have been accepted into  St. Columbus University for a  Bachelor’s in Business Administration for the upcoming winter intake of November 2025. I am sharing all the relevant details like academic background, family ties, financial details, and future goals which are mandatory.

Academic Details

I have been an academically average student with extra engagement in sports and extracurricular activities in the early years of school. I completed my secondary and senior secondary school from CBSE and PSEB boards respectively. In 2021, I passed secondary school with 63% marks and I knew that this was a satisfactory performance and that if I worked hard; I could certainly perform better. So, I dedicated myself to my studies for the next two years. My hard work paid off when I scored 96% in my senior secondary school examinations and made my family proud of me. When I took Business Studies as a subject in the 12th grade, I learned a great deal about financial market & management, entrepreneurship, planning and customer behavior, etc. Our teachers would often share successful business stories with us and I was always left in awe at the possibility of creation in this field. Giving my newly developed interest a direction, I decided to study for a Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Xavier’s Institute of Management, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat.

Decision To Study Bachelor’s in Business Administration, after dropping out

I began my Bachelor’s with an enthusiastic approach to building my knowledge about the multiple facets of business. However, after completing the first year of my graduation, I realized that my skills and knowledge were not developing as efficiently as they should. The cons of my academic institute and course soon dawned upon me and I began to recognize the loopholes of my study program. After consultation with some of my seniors and college alumni, I concluded that they are facing employment issues because of a lack of required skills. I too observed that the entire focus of our faculty was on covering the course in due time for examinations. The rote learning of theoretical concepts and assessments was of foremost importance irrespective of the fact that we gained any true knowledge or not. Our curriculum was outdated, practical understanding was not given any importance, and the campus facilities were unsatisfactory with no networking opportunities or industry connections whatsoever. All these factors demotivated me to continue further as my time was not being utilized wisely and I made the difficult decision to drop out of college before the commencement of my second-semester examinations.

Without wasting any time further, I started looking for better courses in the business sector whose facilities and delivery stood up to my expectations. My search came to an end when I came across the ‘Bachelor’s in Business Administration ’ course from St. Columbus University. I was quite impressed with the well-defined curriculum, the combination of IT & business education, the well-trained international faculties, and the emphasis on the use of technology. An in-depth analysis of this program assured me that I will be gaining the all-round knowledge required to establish and run a successful business. There is a balanced weight on theoretical and practical concepts. While topics like management, accounting, marketing, communication, and business law appeal to my interest greatly, I am particularly excited about Entrepreneurship & innovation, management & information systems as well as financial accounting. As per my understanding, these specific modules are the strongest base for a business to run smoothly.

I have taken the IELTS examination and my overall score is 9. My section-wise scores are- listening- 7, speaking- 7, reading- 8, writing- 8.

Choosing St. Columbus University

Considering my initial experience of studying everything conceptually, I was adamant about studying at a place that values research,  has practicals, and describes the actual application of concepts. It is only logical that I have chosen this extraordinary university that insists on hands-on learning. Other than academics, I was thoroughly impressed by the positive reviews of alumni who sang elaborate praises for this university. The career-oriented approach, infrastructure with in-built facilities, qualified teachers, high ranking, and pleasant environment of the place encouraged me to apply here. Based in the naturally blessed city of Iserlohn, the university offered my chosen course in the English language which was an additional motivation for me to make it my preferred institute.

My Decision To Study In Germany

In India, Germany is reputed to be a top-world country that has a quality education system. A progressive country with an emphasis on research makes it the most appropriate place where I can learn and network not just with professionals and industry experts but also with classmates from all over the world. I am confident that I have made the most accurate decision by deciding to study in a country that will foster an impeccable understanding of the subject matter. Besides, the safe environment, picturesque landscapes, architectural wonders, and standard of living are the non-academic factors that make Germany a favorable study-abroad destination.

Professional Aims And Aspirations

From my Bachelor’s in Germany, I expect to learn some superior and industry-specific work skills such as ERP software, analytical problem-solving skills, marketing & management, etc. These skills have an evergreen demand in the employment sector. I am determined to return to India after the conclusion of my course in Germany and work with multinational companies like Google, Tesla, Microsoft, Infosys, IBM, Amazon, etc. My short-term plan is to secure a favorable position. In 2-3 years, I expect to take on managerial and leadership-level positions such as Business intelligence analyst, consultant manager, account manager, operations manager, etc. With an exclusive specialization from my course in Germany, I will work toward bridging the gap between business and IT in a firm and ensuring their optimum output to contribute toward my prospective company’s growth. My long-term career goal is to set up a business of my own in my state and country. Coming from the state of Gujarat, a business venture is highly valued in the social scenario. My previous work endeavors will allow me to think about the line of work in which I will establish my work.

Financial Details

There is no tuition fee applicable to my course. I have already deposited the first-semester contribution of  250.80. My parents will be sponsoring my living expenses and any other expected or unexpected expenditures. I have already opened a blocked account of 15,000 (€ 1250 monthly). I belong to an affluent family in India where both my parents work as government employees of the health department. They both receive INR 15 lakhs per annum individually. My grandfather too is a retired government employee who receives INR 5 lakhs as a pension. My family owns properties and assets worth INR 1,00,00,000. Per year, we get INR 10,00,000 from our agricultural land contributes to our annual income of INR 45,00,000.

Incentives To Return To India

My family is my prime motivation for returning to my home country India. I live in Surat, Gujarat with my parents, grandparents, and younger brother. Being the only elder daughter of my parents, I am responsible for looking after them in their older years. Moreover, my family is my strongest emotional and mental support whose mere presence has always encouraged me to hope for the best in life. My brother considers me to be his pillar of support and seeks my guidance in his life. After my studies in Germany conclude, I will be eager to reunite with my loved ones as soon as possible. I have always envisioned my professional life in my native country. India has a dynamic corporate sector that is growing and thriving with each passing day. My qualification from Germany will certainly prioritize me over other applicants for a coveted position to work at. Further, as I set up my business, I hope to contribute to the employment situation in India and share my skills & knowledge wherever it is valued.

Concludingly, I reiterate that my purpose in applying to study in Germany is to gain an education of the highest quality and equip myself with the knowledge required to be efficient in the business sector. I would be obliged if you grant me a study permit, allowing me to pursue my academic dreams in Germany. Hoping for a favorable response, I thank you for your kind consideration of this application.

Sincerely

Rupal Patel
