Sub: Application requesting a permit for my mother to visit Canada

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Aditi Malhotra, bearing passport number Z4719807 take pride in sharing that I am writing this letter of explanation to detail about my mother’s plans for visiting Canada.

I am working in Canada as a Senior Housekeeping Manager at the Granville Island Hotel, situated at 1253 Johnston St, Vancouver, BC V6H 3R9, Canada. My residence is at <add address> where I have rented these three bedrooms, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms flat. I use it to live with my husband and in-laws.

Since I have been in Canada, my mother, Saroj Devi has missed me day and night and I have missed her too. Although, I live with my husband and mother-in-law here the love of a mother is one of a kind which I crave every single day. I so much want to run into her and hide my face in her lap while she runs her fingers through my hair. I so much ponder over our old memories of togetherness while she does the same too.  We talk for hours on the phone but it is restricted to my holidays as India (where my mother lives) and Canada have quite different time zones. Since my mother has been missing me too much for months and I couldn’t wait anymore to meet her in person, I have decided to sponsor her visit from <date of arrival> to <date of departure>. It has been really hard for me to visit her due to my work commitments in Canada. Unfortunately, her previous application was rejected due to the following reasons:

  • The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
  • You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your or your host’s income and assets.

Purpose of Visit

First of all, I want to clarify that my mother’s intent to visit me is only focused on meeting me. Besides this neither she has any interest nor does her family responsibilities back home allow her to overstay in Canada. She has my father’s house to look after which is her property after him that she takes care of really well. Also, my brother and his family live with her. He has a son and a daughter, and both husband and wife are working. My mother looks after the kids like a responsible granny and feeds them till their parents return. She shares a great attachment with the kids that she cannot stay with us for longer. Her soul resides in India because she is a very sociable person who shares good rapport in our society. She lives a very vibrant life in India which is a major reason for her to seek arrival back home.

My mother receives a pension each month from the government as financial aid while she also has a widespread property that my father has left for her. Besides this, my brother and his wife are well-settled professionals who are working for the government. They make a decent living and are capable of taking care of my mother well. She is very happy with his family and aspires to join them back home.

Our Financial ability:

By the time my mother stays in Canada, she will share residence with us at <add address>. My husband and I are well-established here and we both are professionals. My husband works as a full-time Software Engineer with Deloitte. He earns CAD 395,117.3 while I earn CAD 123,000 annually from my work. We are financially stable to take care of my mother’s living expenses for the period she stays with us. Likewise, we have saved CAD 60,000 in our bank accounts which are openly accessible to me and I have been authorized by my husband to use these savings towards my mother’s visa and living expenses. I couldn’t be more thankful to him for this lovely gesture. Please find enclosed the proof of our financial ability to fund my mother’s trip and stay in Canada without running out of cash. I hereby, assure you that I and my husband are the sole ties for my mother here in Canada. Despite us, there is no one with whom she shares any family ties in this country.

Travel history

My mother also visited Dubai to meet us (my husband and me) earlier when we used to live there (from __ to __). It gave her a change from the routine life as well and we spent enriching family time which we both crave. After my father’s demise in 2020, she has become very lonely. I am sure that staying with me for a while will definitely soothe her and put her to ease. She is a strong and smart woman who understands and accepts immigration rules as also depicted by her previous travel history.

Conclusion

She is determined to exhibit accountability by following all Canadian Immigration Rules. I am confident that she will display the best conduct and return home within the authorized stay bidding us adieu and leaving refreshing memories behind. I, hereby, inform you that my mother is fully vaccinated and a perfectly fit fifty-nine-year-old woman who has also enclosed her fitness certificate for your kind perusal. I humbly request you allow my mother a valid visa grant so she can come to meet us for a short duration as planned. I shall be highly grateful to you. Thank you in advance.

Yours Sincerely,

Aditi Malhotra
