Sub: Application requesting a work permit refused on 20th May 2022

Dear Sir/Madam,

I, Nurlan D. Markhabatov, present before you to explain the opportunity I have received to work in Canada by strengthening my candidacy for working in the respected country. Canada has always been a beacon of opportunity and growth for individuals seeking a diverse and vibrant work environment. It is known for its multicultural value and supportive infrastructure. As I received the job opportunity with Maple Leaf Foods Inc., I envisioned it as an opportunity to fulfill my aspirations in a country that values professional exposure and cultural diversity. Unfortunately, my previous visa application was rejected on the following grounds:

I am not satisfied that you have truthfully answered all questions in the documents you have submitted in support of your application, as required by subsection 16(1) of the IRPA. Specifically, I am not satisfied that the following information is truthful: You did not disclose two previous USA visa refusals.

Through this application, I aim to request a reconsideration based on my genuine candidacy and no intent to hide any information or manipulate the data in any form or shape.

Earlier I visited Turkey in 2007, UAE in 2010, Egypt in 2017/2019, Barcelona-Spain in June 2021, Germany and France in September 2021. Also, I obtained a Schengen visa until 2023. Unfortunately, my visa was rejected twice for the USA during <add years> but was unrelated to any misconduct. Rather <provide reasoning>

Purpose of visit

My background as an administrator in the oil & gas industry has equipped me with a unique skill set that will set me apart in Canada’s job market. I have hands-on experience in managing critical information related to equipment and databases, which was vital for maintenance purposes. Later, I transitioned into a role as a Spare Parts Engineer, closely connected with maintaining technical equipment.

This job opportunity as an Appliance Service Technician at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in Canada aligns perfectly with my previous roles. I’ll be able to support engineers in troubleshooting and maintenance processes, drawing from my rich experience in the oil & gas sector. My ability to handle technical data, work efficiently with maintenance teams, and ensure equipment reliability will undoubtedly be valuable assets in my new role.

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. has offered me an enticing package with a competitive salary of approximately $37 per hour and overtime pay of $48 per hour. This assures financial stability and reflects the company’s recognition of my skills and potential contributions. Furthermore, having the support of my family in case of any unforeseen circumstances adds an extra layer of confidence in my decision to relocate.

Why Canada?

Working in Canada presents an opportunity to gain international experience that will be invaluable globally. It will broaden my perspective, improve my cross-cultural communication skills, and make me more adaptable in diverse work environments. I firmly believe that these experiences will benefit my career in Canada and be highly sought after back in my home country. The ability to collaborate with professionals from different backgrounds will enhance my problem-solving skills and make me a more versatile engineer.

My career aspirations have always centered around becoming a high-quality engineer with a strong emphasis on acquiring diverse international experiences. I am dedicated to continuous professional and personal development, striving for excellence and global collaboration. I aim to master various technical domains and engage in lifelong learning while actively seeking international projects and collaboration opportunities. In the short term, I aim to gain practical engineering experience through industry projects, further enhancing my technical skills and knowledge over the next two years. In a long time, I aspire to become a respected leader in the engineering field, contributing to innovative and sustainable solutions on a global scale while mentoring the next generation of engineers over the next 10-15 years.

Family Ties and Financial Stability

I have a robust support system in my home country, mainly through my family. My mother is a full-time medical representative at AstraZeneca, earning an income of approximately $1700-2100 USD. Her stable income ensures our financial stability and is a reliable backup plan.

Additionally, we own apartments in Öskemen, Kazakhstan, which provide a valuable financial resource. These properties are an asset that adds to our overall economic strength.

To meet the visa requirements, I have successfully taken the IELTS exam and achieved an overall score of 6.0, demonstrating my proficiency in English, which will be crucial for effective communication in Canada.

I am submitting my application with a request to consider my work permit visa. I am a reliable and committed temporary entrant, driven by a strong desire to contribute to Canada’s workforce, bring my expertise to Maple Leaf Foods Inc., and enrich my career with international experiences. My background, skills, and vision align perfectly with the opportunities Canada has to offer. Thank you for considering my application.

Yours Sincerely,

Nurlan D. Markhabatov
