Subject: Application for German Job Seeker Visa for Germany

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am HD Raja (Passport No – X00000X), an experienced IT professional from Bengaluru (India), also known as the Silicon Valley of the East. I am writing this statement in support of my application for a German Job Seeker Visa (D-Visa). With over 14+ years of extensive experience developing distributed high fault-tolerant cloud-native solutions, I am currently a Principal Member of the Technical Staff at IBM India. To leap in my career and explore job opportunities in Germany, I am applying for a German National D Visa which is required to enter Germany. My educational qualification, which includes a B.Tech in the CS field, and my significant professional experience in IT make me an ideal candidate for different positions in Germany’s thriving technology sector. I have started learning German from a coaching institute online and I am also aware of the dates in Goethe Institute for the A1 Level Certification Exam, I will be completing the A2 Level before I reach Germany and later I will continue to learn the language to have a good command over the German Language.

Throughout my professional journey in the IT Industry, I have had the opportunity to explore different roles and responsibilities. I have developed and managed web-based applications, both monolithic and distributed systems for reputable organizations. I am quite proficient in high-level and low-level design for complex systems, which has been a cornerstone of my professional journey. My core competencies include Microservices Architecture, RESTful Web Services, and API design; however, I am also adept in business analysis, functional specifications, unit and integration testing, deployment, and monitoring. In software development, I am well versed in Agile, Kanban, Scrum, BDD, and TDD and I have deployed applications on all the cloud platforms including Azure. With such extensive experience, I am currently looking for a Team Lead Senior Backend Java Engineer, or Solutions Architect focusing on Web or Cloud-Native App Development in Germany.

My decision to apply for the “Chancekarte” Visa was not only because of the excellent job opportunities and quality lifestyle this country has to offer but also because of its culture and history which aligns with my interests. I was very amazed to learn about the concept of the Master Race (The Aryan Race – Herrensrasse) and got fascinated by their history and culture as I read more. Further, in my professional journey, I witnessed the expertise of German IT Giants and my inclination towards Deutschland further developed.  With its strong economy, blended with technology prowess and robust infrastructure,  Germany offers a perfect platform for IT professionals to explore their horizons. Germany is one of the world’s leading ICT markets (Information and Communication Technology) and the single largest Software Business Hub in the world, inhabiting approximately 100,000 Software and IT Services companies that have employed 1.189 million IT professionals till 2023. I have decided to choose Germany over any other European country because of the conducive conditions for my professional growth and learning, which no other EU nation can offer. This is the reason why I am eagerly looking forward to having this opportunity to work and experience life in an amazing country known as “The Land of Ideas”.

Talking about my background, I grew up in a traditional Hindu family in Kerala, where education was always given the most importance. I was good at my studies from the beginning and always cleared all my exams with excellent scores. My mother is a retired Government Teacher, and my father is a retired Army officer. I have two sisters who have been married and live with their husband’s families. Currently, I have made all the arrangements to support my journey to Germany and I have a sum of INR XXX in my savings account and INR XXXX in other forms of investments and stocks. Additionally, my parents also have savings of INR XXXX and both get a pension of INR XXXXX per month combined. I traveled to Germany in 2015 and since then it has been my dream to live and work in Germany. I am aware of the kind of lifestyle I will experience and the expenses I have to bear while staying in Germany. I have also pre-booked my accommodation for 6 months and have taken travel and medical insurance as well. I am committed to leveraging my skills and experience to contribute to Germany’s technology sector and am excited about the potential career growth this opportunity presents. I have already applied for several job positions in Germany and have received emails confirming my applications and some interview invitations, which I will attach as proof. I plan to travel in August, after fulfilling my notice period and receiving some stock from my current employer.

I am aware of the fact that this would be a Job Search Visa which is entitled to job search only and once I get the job offer then I have to convert this to a valid work visa permit. I assure the authorities that I will not be taking up any job without changing my visa and in case I am unable to find a suitable job for this duration then I will leave the country before the visa expires.

Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely,
HD Raja
